Terms of Service

Last updated October 25, 2026

These terms apply whenever you use SkinLab. By signing in or trading you agree to them.

1. The service

SkinLab is a marketplace where you can buy Counter-Strike 2 items from verified merchants and sell your items to them. Items are delivered through Steam trade offers. SkinLab is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by Valve Corporation or Steam.

2. Who can use SkinLab

  • You must be at least 18 years old and allowed to use Steam trading.
  • You may only use your own Steam account.
  • You must not use SkinLab where doing so is against the law.

3. Your account and trades

  • You are responsible for your Steam account, its security and your trade URL.
  • Only accept the trade offer that SkinLab's "Open trade offer" button opens, and check it in Steam before accepting. We aren't responsible for items or money lost by accepting any other offer.
  • Prices are shown in US dollars. A purchase or sale is final once the trade is accepted, except as described below.

4. Balance, deposits and withdrawals

  • Deposits are made in supported stablecoins and credited in full once confirmed on the blockchain; we cover the processing fees.
  • Money earned from a trade goes to your pending balance for about 7 days, because Steam lets the side that gave the items reverse a CS2 trade during that period. You can't spend or withdraw pending balance. It becomes available once Steam settles the trade and we've checked it wasn't reversed.
  • To prevent money laundering, deposited funds can only be spent on items and cannot be withdrawn. Only money earned from sales can be withdrawn.
  • Withdrawals start at $5.00, are reviewed before sending, and are usually processed within 24 hours. We may ask for more information or refuse a withdrawal where we suspect fraud or a breach of these terms.
  • If a purchase can't be delivered, the price is returned to your balance.

5. Reversed trades

If you reverse a trade, the money it earned you is cancelled and the other side is refunded. If a reversal is found after the money became available, we may deduct it from your balance, hold your pending balance and withdrawals, or close your account until it is settled.

6. Merchants

Merchants are approved by us before they can trade, separately for selling to users and for buying from them. They are responsible for the items and accounts they connect, for the prices they set and for having funds to pay for their buy orders. Merchants pay a flat 2.5% fee: it is deducted from the price of items they sell and added to the price of items they buy through buy orders. Additional merchant terms may apply.

7. What you must not do

  • Use stolen items, stolen accounts or funds that aren't yours.
  • Try to defraud other users, merchants or us, including by reversing trades after being paid.
  • Use SkinLab to launder money or move funds for others.
  • Interfere with the service, scrape it aggressively or try to access accounts that aren't yours.

8. Suspension

We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or that we reasonably believe are involved in fraud. Where the law allows, we may hold funds while we investigate.

9. Availability and liability

SkinLab depends on Steam and on blockchain networks that we don't control, so the service may sometimes be unavailable. To the extent the law allows, SkinLab is provided "as is" and we aren't liable for indirect losses, lost profits, or the market value of items changing.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. We'll show the date of the latest version at the top; continuing to use SkinLab means you accept them.
